Why We Recommend ThinkMarkets
I found the thinkMarkets app to be the best app in the market. The reason I like this app is because it comes with tools like TrendRisk Scanner, Trader’s Gym and Signal Centre in addition to TradingView Charts. Along with 8 display screens and 200 cloud-based alerts, ThinkTrader offers a richer range of analysis tools to make better trading decisions.
These app features allow you to take advantage of the 3 account types on offer: Standard, ThinkTrader and ThinkZero. Spreads for Standard and ThinkTrader accounts start from 0.4 pips, and ThinkZero account spreads start from 0 pips, plus $3.50 in commissions. Regardless of which account you choose, 4000 trading instruments are available with leverage starting from 30:1.
Pros & Cons
- Fast execution speeds
- Advanced trading tools
- Smooth mobile performance
- Limited funding options
- No real share trading
- Average customer service

I think ThinkMarkets deserves to be called the best forex trading app in the UAE for three clear reasons: platform quality, local suitability, and overall trading experience.
Excellent Platform Quality
From my testing, the app itself is well designed and powerful. ThinkMarkets offers its proprietary ThinkTrader app, which I find intuitive, fast, and packed with professional-grade tools.
I found the charting experience particularly smooth, with access to 125 indicators and 50 drawing tools and 19 chart types. When testing, I found the indicators easy to customise, and execution reliable even during volatile market conditions.
There is also a feature unique to ThinkTrader called the TrendRisk Scanner, which helped me find the best trading opportunities using different timeframes.Other tools include Trader’s Gym, so you can backtest your trading strategies and Signal Centre which includes up to 50 signals for trading ideas.
For UAE traders who want to trade on the go without sacrificing functionality, I think this app strikes the right balance between simplicity and depth.
Great Range of Markets
Offering over 4000 tradeable instruments, ThinkMarkets has one of the better ranges of markets I’ve encountered.
To access the largest range of assets, you’ll need to use either the ThinkTrader or MT5 app. Both trading platforms support multiple asset classes beyond forex, which I think is ideal for UAE traders who like to diversify across indices, commodities, futures, ETFs and cryptocurrencies.
The following table provides a breakdown of instruments, as well as the spreads, commissions and trading platforms you can use for each asset class.
| No. of Instruments | Spreads | Commission | Platform | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FX Pairs | 43 | 0.4 pips (EUR/USD) | $3.5 per side (ThinkZero) | MT4, MT5 & ThinkTrader |
| Cryptocurrencies | 19 | $16 (Bitcoin) | ✘ | MT4, MT5 & ThinkTrader |
| Indices | 23 | 0.4 points (SPX500) | ✘ | MT4, MT5 & ThinkTrader |
| Metals | 4 + 2 Gold and + 2 Silver combos | $0.30 (Gold) | $3.5 per side (ThinkZero) | MT4, MT5 & ThinkTrader |
| Commodities (Energy) | 3 | 0.03 (US Oil) | ✘ | MT4, MT5 & ThinkTrader |
| Futures | 11 | From 0.2 points | ✘ | MT4, MT5 & ThinkTrader |
| Shares | 3500+ (Most on MT5, Selected on MT4) | Variable | ✘ | MT4,MT5 & ThinkTrader |
| ETFs | 352 (Most on MT5, Selected on MT4) | Variable | ✘ | MT4,MT5 & ThinkTrader |
Flexible Accounts and Competitive Spreads
ThinkMarkets offers three main accounts, which give it a pricing flexibility not many brokers provide.
The broker offers two commission-free accounts, Standard and ThinkTrader, which both have spreads starting from 0.4 pips. These spreads are more competitive than the industry average of 1 pip that I’ve observed. You can also trade with the broker’s RAW or ECN-style account,ThinkZero, which offers spreads from 0 pips and commissions from $3.50.
For the lowest spreads, I definitely recommend ThinkZero, which competes with the best forex brokers in the UAE. If you want the biggest range of markets, however, choose ThinkTrader, in which you can trade up to 4000 instruments on the broker’s excellent, proprietary app.
2. Pepperstone - Best MT4 Forex Trading App

Why We Recommend Pepperstone
I believe Pepperstone has the best MT4 mobile app for trading forex in the UAE because of its competitive pricing, tight spreads, and platform tools.
When testing MT4 on the broker’s commission-based Razor account, Pepperstone averaged 0.47 pips across the 6 major forex pairs, well below the industry average of 0.72 pips. Its Standard account, while not as competitive, had below industry average spreads too.
In my opinion, Pepperstone’s offering of the MT4 mobile trading app stands out with one-click execution, custom watchlists, and robust charting tools, including 30 technical indicators and 24 analytical objects.
Pepperstone also offers fast execution speeds using MT4, averaging under 100ms for market orders and limit orders, which is the third fastest broker from our testing.
Pros & Cons
- Fast MT4 execution speeds
- Smooth MT4 mobile trading
- Great range of MT4 tools
- Can’t trade physical shares
- Education could be better
- Limited crypto range

Fast MT4 execution speeds
To have a fast and reliable trading app is key to a good broker and Pepperstone has this in spades. From our testing using its MT4 trading app, Pepperstone offers some of the fastest execution speeds we’ve seen in the UAE.
In fact, the broker averages 77ms for limit orders and 100ms for market orders, putting them in the top 3 fastest brokers we’ve traded with. For reference, anything under 100ms is fast, as this reduces the lag time from when an order is executed to when it’s actually filled in market.
From my experience, when orders are executed smoothly and charts load without lag, like they do with Pepperstone, this gives me confidence I can trade actively, even during highly volatile markets.
Competitive spreads on MT4
Pepperstone’s competitive spreads are another key reason for its popularity in the UAE. When testing Pepperstone’s MT4 app, I found that the broker offered spreads as low as 0.10 pips for EUR/USD on its ECN-style, Razor account.
To back it up, Pepperstone consistently kept their Razor account spreads at zero pips over a 24-hour period for 6 major currency pairs, including EUR/USD and AUD/USD.
I also found Pepperstone’s Standard (commission-free) account offers competitive spreads, averaging 1.46 pips across major forex pairs including EUR/USD. This came in as the 5th lowest spreads from our testing of 12 top brokers.
Wide range of trading platforms
As well as being a top MT4 forex broker, Pepperstone offers one of the best varieties of trading platforms I’ve seen. This includes MT5, cTrader, TradingView and its own proprietary app.
As a chart trader with a keen eye for technical analysis, my preference is TradingView, given it offers over 400 indicators and alerts.
I was also impressed that you can trade each of these platforms from one account, a flexibility that not all brokers offer.
3. XM - Best MT5 Trading App Broker

Why We Recommend XM
I recommend XM as having the best MT5 trading app in the UAE because it combines powerful MT5 functionality with trader-friendly conditions.
From testing, I found the broker provided competitive spreads, especially on its Zero account, which offered spreads from 0.10 pips, comparable with Pepperstone.
XM also offers a wide selection of over 1400 markets and access to advanced tools, all tradeable on the MT5 app. The real benefit of XM, however, is the ability to trade 1200 stock CFDs on the powerful MT5 interface with 44 analytical objects, 38 technical indicators and 21 timeframes.
Having a low, $5 minimum deposit requirement also makes XM accessible to both beginners and experienced traders alike.
Pros & Cons
- Smooth MT5 trading
- Large array of charting tools
- Over 1400 assets
- MT4 and MT5 only
- Wider Standard account spreads
- Zero account not available in UAE
Broker Details
Competitive RAW spreads
Perhaps the biggest selling point of XM is its competitive spreads, particularly on its Zero account. I found the broker offers spreads as low as 0.10 pips for EUR/USD and USD/JPY, which is comparable or better than competitors, Pepperstone, Axi and Go Markets. Bear in mind, you will pay $3.50 per side in commissions, which is in line with the industry average.
If you want to trade swap-free due to your religious beliefs, I recommend the Ultra Low account which also has zero commissions.
A low minimum deposit requirement of $5 for both accounts, keeps it a low barrier to entry for beginners and active traders.
Advanced multi-asset trading on MT5
One of the key reasons XM stands out to me is its multi-asset offering.
XM’s MT5 app lets me trade a huge range of markets, from 55 forex pairs to 1200 stock CFDs, indices, commodities and crypto CFDs, all on the same app. This means I don’t have to switch between platforms or brokers to diversify my portfolio.
This breadth of asset coverage really impressed me and makes the MT5 trading experience feel complete and powerful.
Professional tools and mobile functionality
I found XM’s MT5 mobile app to be highly responsive and packed with advanced tools that help me analyse markets on the go.
It’s rare to see so many chart timeframes, from my experience, and XM offers 21, in addition to 38 technical indicators and 44 analytical objects using the MT5 app. This makes strategic planning much easier even when I’m away from my desktop.
The built-in economic calendar and compatibility with Expert Advisors (EAs) also allowed me to experiment with bot trading and monitor relevant data announcements with ease.

The breadth of over 100 technical indicators, drawing tools, and real-time data available through TradingView gave me a real trading edge to analyse the markets with, especially on mobile.

Why We Recommend MultiBank
I recommend MultiBank as the lowest spread broker in the UAE because, from my testing, its mobile app consistently delivers ultra-competitive pricing that benefits active forex traders.
On its ECN account, spreads start from as low as 0.0 pips on major currency pairs. Coupled with that are cheap commissions of USD $3 per side, which is lower than the industry average of $3.50. This means you can enter and exit trades with minimal cost, a key advantage if you’re trying to maximise returns on lots of trades.
Lastly, Multibank offers both MT4 and MT5, as well as a solid proprietary app and a unique social trading platform called, EX Social Trading. Overall, I believe MultiBank is ideal for both scalpers and high-volume traders who prioritise low trading costs.

Why We Recommend Interactive Brokers
Interactive Brokers’ trading apps brilliantly combine global market access, powerful trading tools and low trading costs, particularly for active traders.
The IBKR Mobile and GlobalTrader apps give you access to 160+ markets with advanced trading tools no other brokers provide. I particularly liked the ability to make over 20 trades from trailing stop limits to one cancels all.
What really sets IBKR apart, in my view, is the ultra-low pricing and transparent fee structure across forex and shares.
Offering a tiered commission structure based on trading volume, the more you trade, the lower your commissions, I found IBKR also offers low EUR/USD spreads from 0.1 pips.
Plus, with multi-asset trading in one app and access to global exchanges, I think IBKR is a top choice for UAE traders who value breadth of choice and efficiency in a single platform.

Why We Recommend OANDA
We recommend OANDA as having the best app to learn forex trading in the UAE because it’s built with beginners clearly in mind.
The OANDA app offers built-in learning resources, market insights, and clear explanations that help new traders understand how forex markets actually work. In my view, the unlimited demo account is a big advantage, as it allows UAE traders to practise strategies risk-free.
For beginners, OANDA is a great choice because it offers a Spread Only account with minimum spreads from 0.6 pips, which is comparable or lower than other Standard accounts, including Pepperstone, XM and ThinkMarkets.
OANDA is also our most trusted broker, scoring 91/100 and one of very few brokers to offer regulatory support in the USA and Canada, as well as offering regulations in 5 tier-1 jurisdictions.
Pros & Cons
- Great app for beginners
- Low commission-free spreads
- Strong educational resources
- Limited range of markets
- Inactivity fees exist

Why We Recommend Axi
We recommend Axi as having the best demo trading platform in the UAE for mobile traders because its demo environment closely mirrors real-market conditions, making it an ideal learning and testing ground.
While Axi only offers MT4 in the UAE, it also has its own copy trading platform, which gives beginners a couple of user-friendly platforms to practice with as well as an authentic feel of live trading without financial risk.
As well as offering the best graphical user interface, I particularly liked Axi’s inclusion of the MT4 Next Generation enhancement. Some key tools I liked included the Sentiment Indicator, the Automated trade journal and the Mini Manager with multi-screen trading and rolling market analysis to speed up my trading.
The demo account comes with realistic pricing, deep liquidity, and fully functional tools, which I believe will help UAE traders build confidence before trading real money.
