Overall
Before I get into the full breakdown, Here’s a quick overview of their top features side-by-side:
- FOREX.com has lower spreads on the Standard account with EUR/USD averaging 1.2 pips
- FxPro offers a wider range of trading instruments, forex, share CFDs, indices, even crypto and ETFs
- FOREX.com is one of the few brokers licensed and authorised by the NFA/CFTC in the US
- FOREX.com provides more comprehensive educational material
1. Lowest Spreads And Fees – FOREX.com
When it comes to Standard accounts, where all your trading costs are already calculated into the spread, FOREX.com offers more competitive pricing.
On the most traded pair, EUR/USD, the broker averages 1.2 pips compared to FxPro at 1.4 pips. This pattern continues into the other majors like USD/JPY, AUD/USD with FOREX.com consistently offering lower spreads than FxPro.

If you’re looking for a more predictable pricing structure, FxPro’s fixed spreads ensure costs won’t jump during moments of high volatility. But that stability comes at a cost, though, as you’ll end up paying much more than with FxPro’s own Standard account.

FxPro | 1.96 | 2.34 | 2.19 | 2.1 | 2.14 | 1.82 | 2 | 2.7 | 3.28 | 2.43 |
Raw Account
The Raw Spread account is usually the go-to for tighter pricing with most brokers offering spreads from 0.0 pips and a fixed commission per lot.
FOREX.com spreads on FX majors start from 0.0 pips but their commission is higher at $5 USD commission per $100k USD traded. FxPro charges a lower commission of $3.50 per side and spreads start from 0.2 pips.
Verdict
FOREX.com offers the lowest spread on both their Standard and Raw accounts but you should also consider the commission when making a choice.

2. Better Trading Platforms – FOREX.com
Both brokers carry heavy artillery in the trading platforms department, meaning you’re not short on choice depending on how you like to trade.
MetaTrader
With FOREX.com you can trade on MT4 and MT5, with access to 500+ markets, including forex, indices, plus stocks and ETFs exclusively on MT5.
They’ve improved the MetaTrader experience with extras like a Reuters news feed, economic calendar, and FX Blue toolkit with 20+ custom indicators and Expert Advisors.
MT5 is where I’d point anyone to as it’s the more advanced platform. You get 38 built-in indicators, 21 timeframes, and more order types than MT4. Execution is generally fast with very minimal negative slippage, and they’ll even throw in free VPS hosting if you’re running EAs.
FxPro’s MT4 and MT5 offer pretty much all the same tools you’d expect. You’ve got your indicators, multiple order types, risk management tools, support for automation and the rest. However, there aren’t many extra tools beyond what MetaTrader already provides like with Forex.com.
cTrader
FOREX.com doesn’t offer cTrader at all, so if this is your preferred platform, FxPro has the clear edge.
Alongside FxPro’s advanced trading infrastructure, competitive pricing and quick order execution with no dealing desk intervention, the cTrader platform provides an impressive set of tools and features.
You’ve got more than 55 indicators, 26+ timeframes, and multiple chart types including tick, range, and Renko.
With Level II Depth of Market (DoM), you can see liquidity at each price level, manage slippage, and step into the market with more control. FxPro also adds no restrictions on stop/limit levels, trailing stops, and advanced order protection tools all of which are helpful in risk management.
TradingView
FOREX.com has the advantage of a direct TradingView integration, letting you trade straight from the industry’s most popular charting and community platform. The platform offering includes 80+ default indicators, Pine Script for custom strategies, real-time alerts, screeners, and access to TradingView’s massive social network of traders.
If you want to combine technical analysis, community ideas, and execution in one place, FOREX.com gives you the right tools to do so.

3. Superior Accounts And Features – Tie
Both brokers mainly offer the Standard and Raw accounts but FxPro’s structure is kind of tiered.
The Standard account is much simpler to trade with since the broker’s fees are built into a wider spread starting from around 1.2 pips.
The Raw+ account drops spreads to zero but you have to factor in the separate commission charges of $3.50 per side, per lot. The Elite account mirrors Raw+ but throws in rebates and VIP perks. Starting rebates are $1.50 per lot, which can add up quickly for high-volume traders. It’s essentially Raw+ with loyalty rewards, but it makes sense only if you’re trading huge volumes.
FOREX.com’s Standard account offers spreads from 0.8 pips while the RAW Spread account delivers spreads from 0.0 on majors with a $5 per 100k commission. Sure, it’s slightly more expensive than FxPro’s Raw+ in terms of commission, but the execution is great and there’s more platform flexibility and free VPS.

4. Best Trading Experience – FxPro
A good trading experience with a broker is anchored on trust, functionality, and cost-effectiveness.
FxPro delivers on all three ends with stable platforms and impressive execution speeds. Limit orders average 133 ms and market orders around 141 ms, which is more than fast enough for active traders who rely on clean execution.
Leverage up to 1:500 is available across all account types including Islamic accounts for traders who follow Sharia law. Dedicated account managers are also available when you open an account which is rare with many retail brokers.
FOREX.com’s execution is reliable, and while their order speeds aren’t as fast as FxPro’s, they’re consistent enough for most strategies outside of high-frequency trading. Here leverage is capped at 1:200 and likewise, Islamic accounts are available though you’ll need to request one through customer support.
Verdict
FxPro wins on trading experience with faster execution, higher leverage, and more personalised support.
*Your capital is at risk ‘76% of retail CFD accounts lose money’
5. Stronger Trust And Regulation – FOREX.com
Founded in 1999 and headquartered in New Jersey, FOREX.com is one of the most heavily regulated brokers in the industry. They hold tier-one licenses from the FCA, CIRO, and the NFA/CFTC in the US plus additional oversight from CySEC, JFSA and CIMA (offshore entity).
FxPro is strongly regulated as well but it’s just not in the same league as Forex.com. They too are licensed by the FCA and CySEC, with additional coverage in the Bahamas, Mauritius, and South Africa.
FOREX.com | FxPro | |
Tier 1 Regulation | FCA (UK) CIRO (CANADA) NFA/CFTC (USA) CYSEC (Cyprus) | FCA (UK) CYSEC (Cyprus) |
Tier 2 Regulation | JFSA (Japan) | |
Tier 3 Regulation | CIMA (Cayman) | SCB (Bahamas) FSC-M (Mauritius) FSCA (South Africa) |
This level of regulation signals credibility as the broker is complying with some of the strictest financial rules worldwide e.g client fund segregation.
FOREX.com Trust Score

FxPro Trust Score

Even their Trustpilot ratings say the same story, so your capital is much safer with FOREX.com.
Verdict
FOREX.com has a higher trust score because of the broader regulatory coverage, longer track record, and stronger reviews.

6. Most Popular Broker – FxPro
FOREX.com is well known in the US, which is no surprise considering that there are not so many CFD brokers from over there. It’s also one of the few brokers fully licensed by the NFA and CFTC.
FxPro is the more popular of the two worldwide . It sees most of its traffic from emerging markets like Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

7. CFD Product Range And Financial Markets – FxPro
A broad CFD product range is a key consideration when selecting a broker. I won’t say FxPro and FOREX.com offer the widest market selection I’ve seen but they both cover the essentials well. You’ll find forex, indices, commodities, shares, and even a handful of cryptocurrencies. For most retail traders, that’s more than enough flexibility to build a diverse strategy.
Forex.com offers more currency pairs (91) compared to FxPro (69) and that’s the only market where they top them. When it comes to share CFDs, FxPro’s 2000 is nearly 10x what the competitor offers. And in the other markets like indices, commodities and crypto, they offer way more tradable instruments.
Neither broker offers bonds, treasuries, or investments, but FxPro offers ETFs which FOREX.com doesn’t offer.

8. Superior Educational Resources – FOREX.com
Education is where brokers show whether they’re invested in their traders’ long-term success. Strong resources help beginners build confidence and keep experienced traders sharp with research and analysis.
FOREX.com clearly invests more in this area through their structured material for every level. You’ll find beginner guides that walk you through the basics of forex and CFDs, all the way to intermediate and advanced content on technical setups and strategy development.
The research section is great and you also get eBooks, a glossary, webinars, and YouTube content on top.
FxPro supports learning for beginners with materials tackling entry-level trading concepts.
Verdict
FOREX.com invests in long-term trader education by providing enough resources to get started and stay engaged.

9. Better Customer Service – Tie
Both FOREX.com and FxPro offer live chat, email, phone support, and multilingual assistance, and that’s it for their similarities.
While FOREX.com runs support on a 24/5 schedule, which is basically a full trading week, FxPro limits hours to a 9-to-5 window. In my view, that’s restrictive especially if you’re trading in a different time zone or outside peak hours.

10. More Funding Options – FxPro
FxPro supports a wider range of funding methods including the popular ones like cards, bank transfers, e-wallets like Skrill, Neteller, Paypal, and even crypto. You can fund and withdraw with virtually the same options on FOREX.com, only that you won’t have PayPal.

11. Lower Minimum Deposit – Tie
Both brokers set their minimum deposit at $100, which puts them on level footing for accessibility. A hundred bucks won’t get you far in terms of strategy diversity. Still, it’s enough to open an account, place trades in micro-lots (0.01), and get a real feel for execution, spreads, and platforms.
Broker | Minimum Deposit | Recommended Deposit |
---|---|---|
FOREX.com | $100 | $1,000 |
FxPro | $100 | $1,000 |
Verdict
It’s a stalemate as both brokers keep the entry point low but set expectations higher if you want to trade seriously.
