Our verdict on eToro

eToro Singapore Pte. Ltd. suits a newer trader: the firm states retail CFD clients get negative balance protection and client money sits in segregated accounts, and it advertises a demo account with virtual funds. The firm also states a US$50 minimum deposit and that retail clients must pass the Customer Knowledge Assessment before trading CFDs. What gives me pause is cost: the firm states crypto CFDs cost 1% per trade.

Weigh the firm's stated terms yourself before depositing. I would read the fee pages on its Singapore site closely before funding an account. The published score of 54.9 out of 100 comes from our global broker test, not a Singapore test, and it ranks the firm eighth of 16 in our rated set.

How this is measured

Google Ads reports how many times a month people in Singapore searched each broker's brand terms, and the brokers are ranked on that figure alone.

A term counts for a broker only when that broker's own website holds the first organic Google result for it in Singapore; bare brand words that any company could own are left out.

A month-on-month change prints only where the previous month reached 1,000 searches, because Google rounds smaller volumes.

The figures refresh on the 15th of each month with the newest month Google has published, and the first-result check repeats every quarter.

MAS actions and the Investor Alert List

MAS’s Investor Alert List carries an entry dated 21 March 2025 for “eToroTrade”, which states that the entity impersonates eToro Singapore Pte. Ltd., a firm regulated by MAS, and directs the public to the Financial Institutions Directory to confirm they are dealing with the regulated entity. It is not an action against the firm, and I would treat it as a reason to check you are on the firm’s own site before you deposit.

eToro trading platforms

The firm advertises its own platform on web and app, with TradingView charts, and no MetaTrader on the pages we read. If MT4 or MT5 matters to you, this is not your broker. Your charts and your order entry would both run on the firm’s own platform, with TradingView built in.

eToro execution speed and slippage

Our global panel holds no fill time for eToro, so this page quotes no execution figure for the Singapore entity. In my view, that leaves you weighing the platform’s other terms rather than any speed claim, and I would ask the firm what fill quality to expect before committing funds.

eToro markets

If CFDs across several asset classes matter to you, the firm’s general risk disclosure states its CFDs cover currencies, commodities, and indices.

eToro leverage and margin for Singapore clients

The firm states that leverage varies by underlying, that applicable law sets the maximum it can offer, and that current leverage appears on its website, so I would check the figure shown for your market before you fund the account.

Margin or leverage, as the firm states it: leverage varies by underlying; maximum set by applicable law; current leverage shown on the website (Firm's document for its Singapore entity, read 24 September 2026)

Risk warning, as the firm prints it: CFDs are complex instruments... 61% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider (Firm's Singapore site, read 24 September 2026)

Table 18 of the Fourth Schedule to the Securities and Futures (Financial and Margin Requirements for Holders of Capital Markets Services Licences) Regulations (Rg 13) sets a 5% minimum margin for a retail customer (20:1, our arithmetic) and 2% for an accredited, expert, or institutional investor (50:1, our arithmetic). That rule binds every MAS licensee alike, so it is neither this firm’s advantage nor its limit.

eToro vs Plus500 vs Phillip Nova

eToro sits eighth of 16 in our rated Singapore set. Plus500, whose legal entity is Plus500SG Pte. Ltd., ranks just above it with a published score of 58.8 out of 100 from our global broker test, and Phillip Nova, Phillip Nova Pte. Ltd., ranks just below it.

Neither rival states an EUR/USD figure on its Singapore pages, so I cannot compare spreads here. Ask each firm for its current EUR/USD pricing before you decide.
