Our rating: 49.5 out of 100, strongest on Trust (7.05 out of 10) and weakest on Funding (1.6 out of 10).

Moomoo Financial Singapore Pte. Ltd. offers leveraged forex on the moomoo app. FID lists Moomoo Financial Singapore Pte. Ltd. as a Capital Markets Services Licensee (read on 24 September 2026). The firm states a forex account needs a Moomoo SG universal account first, in my view a weaker fit for a trader who wants one account.

moomoo in Singapore

Our verdict on moomoo

This firm suits a Singapore trader who already holds a Moomoo SG universal account and wants leveraged forex alongside it, on the firm's stated zero commission and zero platform fee, with gold as a CFD. What most limits it, in my view, is the funding route: the firm states money reaches the forex account only by Cash Transfer from the universal account, and the account is USD-denominated.

The rating on this page is a desk-based assessment of the firm's published Singapore information. Seven of the eight categories carry a rating, and Trading Costs is blank. Less than half of Trading Costs could be read from that published information. Before depositing, I suggest you read the firm's Singapore site for the fees that apply to leveraged forex and its margin list, and check the entity on the MAS Financial Institutions Directory yourself.

The firm’s own Singapore site prints the same entity name on its support pages, which matches the directory. When a brand and a legal entity could drift apart, that match is what I look for, and here it holds.

What FID lists for the entity

A Capital Markets Services licence is MAS’s authorisation for a firm dealing in capital markets products, and the products listed for this entity run from securities business to the spot foreign exchange contracts this page is about. The entry carries its own last-updated date, and any reader can open the same record on the MAS site before depositing.

MAS actions and the Investor Alert List

No MAS enforcement action or media release names Moomoo Financial Singapore Pte. Ltd. in any role, and no Investor Alert List entry bears any name searched, on the same read.

MAS enforcement and alerts

A search of MAS enforcement actions, media releases and the Investor Alert List on 24 September 2026 under 2 search terms (Moomoo Financial Singapore Pte. Ltd., moomoo) returned no MAS enforcement action against this company.

moomoo client money

The entity a Singapore retail client contracts with is Moomoo Financial Singapore Pte. Ltd., the name the firm prints on its own Singapore site and the directory holds.

Client money, as the firm states it: held in segregated accounts, separate from the firm's own money (omnibus with other clients) (Firm's Singapore site, read 24 September 2026)

Negative balance, as the firm states it: a negative balance is a further loss to the client (CFD risk fact sheet) (Firm's Singapore site, read 24 September 2026)

Where a Singapore client’s money is held

The firm’s CFD risk disclosure states: “The monies or other assets you have entrusted to the company are mandated by regulations to be held in segregated accounts with specific entities.” It also states: “The monies or other assets are separated from the company’s own monies or assets but may be kept within the same omnibus account with other customers of the company.”

Who a Singapore client contracts with

The firm’s trading mechanism page states: “moomoo SG enters into FX Transactions with you as principal using the ‘straight-through processing’ mode. Where moomoo SG acts as principal, moomoo SG acts as the counterparty to your FX Transaction.” The same page states that “all the client orders will be submitted to and filled with the LP before they are filled with clients and execution prices are determined” and that “The LP is an affiliate of moomoo SG.”

Negative balances

The firm’s CFD risk disclosure states: “In the case where the account goes into a negative balance, you will also incur additional losses.”

moomoo at a glance: 2 key facts

Demo account: Paper Trading, $1M in virtual funds, for stocks, options and futures (FX not named) (Firm's Singapore site, read 24 September 2026)

Base currencies: USD (Firm's Singapore site, read 24 September 2026)

moomoo spreads and commission

A spread is the gap between the bid and the ask, and moomoo’s help page explains it with a worked example on EUR/USD. That example is an illustration, not a price the firm offers. Before you trade, I would open the app and check the live quote on the pair you want, so the number you act on is your own.

Commission

Under Leveraged Forex Trading the firm advertises zero commission and zero platform fee (its pricing page).

What it costs to trade with moomoo

The per-trade charge stated in the spreads section is one line of a position’s cost, not the whole of it. For a Singapore trader, the honest comparison is the full round trip, entry to exit, priced across everything the account’s terms carry, not the per-trade figure on its own.

Forex account: spread, no pair named, advertised: 0.6 pips, minimum ("from just") (Firm's Singapore site, read 24 September 2026)

FX: commission: $0 commission and $0 platform fee on leveraged forex (Firm's Singapore site, read 24 September 2026)

Other fees a Singapore trader should check

Before trading, a reader should check the firm’s fees pages on its Singapore site for every charge beyond the two the firm prints: whether any financing, currency, inactivity, transfer, or withdrawal charge applies, and how the pairs themselves are priced. Any of those could outweigh the per-trade figure across a held position.

moomoo deposits and withdrawals

Funding the forex account is a two-step route: money enters the universal account first, and only the firm’s Cash Transfer moves it into the forex account, which the firm states is the sole way in or out. For a Singapore trader that means planning the transfer ahead of a trading session rather than expecting a direct deposit, and remembering the same route back when it is time to withdraw.

moomoo accounts

The account structure is layered: the forex account sits on top of a universal account and cannot be opened without it, so a new client sets up in two stages before the first FX position. The firm’s Paper Trading page names stocks, options, and futures as what it covers. Before opening anything, a reader should check what the universal account itself requires on the firm’s Singapore site.

Account types on the Singapore site: Universal account, Forex account (opened from the universal account) (Firm's Singapore site, read 24 September 2026)

Accredited investor terms, as the firm states them: opt-in Accredited Investor status on MAS criteria (financial assets above S$1 million, net personal assets above S$2 million, or income of S$300,000) (Firm's Singapore site, read 24 September 2026)

moomoo trading platforms

The moomoo app is where a Singapore client opens and funds the forex account, and where leveraged forex trades are placed. The firm’s help pages walk the route through the app’s Accounts and Transfers menus, including the Cash Transfer into the forex account. I would read the app’s forex screens before funding, since every step of the account runs there.

moomoo execution speed and slippage

Our global execution panel holds no fill time for Moomoo Financial Singapore Pte. Ltd. I make no claim about speed or slippage for this entity, and any figure a reader sees elsewhere should say who measured it and when.

moomoo markets

On its Singapore pages the firm offers leveraged forex, spot FX on margin traded in a forex account, and gold as a CFD, with its XAU/USD contract specifications stating a standard lot is the equivalent of 100 ounces (the firm’s contract specifications page).

Before you take a first position, I would read the firm’s help pages on margin calls and liquidation on its Singapore site, so you know when a position you hold comes under pressure. I would also open the app and check the margin figure on the pair you plan to trade, because the ratios vary by product and you should see your own number before you commit.

How moomoo compares with eToro and Phillip Nova

eToro Singapore Pte. Ltd. takes a different shape: its Singapore site states it offers CFDs with exposure to currencies, commodities, and indices, traded on the eToro platform, web and app, with TradingView charts. Its terms also state that a retail client will not lose more money than deposited when trading CFDs. Accounts run in USD, GBP, or EUR, it states, funded by credit or debit card, bank transfer, PayPal, Skrill, or Neteller.

Phillip Nova Pte. Ltd. is closer to this firm’s model: spot FX on margin, on Phillip MT5 and NOVA. Its FX spread table advertises a minimum EUR/USD spread of 0.6 pips on Phillip MT5, marked indicative, and its fees page states “No commission charges” on forex. It also states that no first-time deposit is required for individual or joint accounts, and that there may be a deficit in the account after liquidation. A Singapore trader can price the two fee models side by side before opening anything.

Should you open an account with moomoo?

Yes, if you already hold a Moomoo SG universal account and want leveraged forex alongside it, on the firm’s stated zero commission and zero platform fee, with gold as a CFD. The same terms make it a weaker fit if you want to fund a forex account directly: the firm states money reaches it only by Cash Transfer from the universal account.

Before you deposit, read the firm’s margin list and the fees that apply to leveraged forex on its Singapore site, and the CFD risk disclosure in full. Then check the MAS Financial Institutions Directory entry for Moomoo Financial Singapore Pte. Ltd. yourself, so you know the entity you contract with and the scope of its licence.
