Alpari UK used to be a fairly stable broker with fast execution and few re quotes on live execution. But quite recently, their performance has dropped drastically.
Their platform freezes a million times during the day and is always disconnecting from their server despite the fact that I use a VSAT internet connection.
Quite a shame.

They are only interested in small clients that lose money all the time. If you trade big, they delay quotes and requote all the time until you are offside. they have a dealing desk that monitors all trades, so this is not automated by any means.
if you make money, you will notice a change on your account. Trades take ages to be confirmed, requotes and slow prices. Their price feed is unstable, lots of gaps and spikes and often freezes.
For sure they use Virtual Dealer plugin to process your trades and monitor your activity.
this is not a fair broker.
So if you want to trade small, go ahead, you will lose it within days/weeks. If you make money, they will make trading impossible and unprofitable for you.
In summary, this is a bucketshop. Stick with the big names and avoid Metatrader altogether.

This is a Excellent Broker, i've been trading with them for the past 5 months, and its like trading on demo, execution time is abou 1-3 seconds, same performance as demo account, better than expected. I dont scalp ! Stop Loss and Take profit and pending orders very accurate so far. I recommend ALPARI.
Ill give them 4 stars because my only complaint is about the bank charges(not their fault), but still too expensive to send and receive money for non-U.K account holders.

This is a good broker, I've been trading live with them for the past 5 or 6 months. What last two posts say is true, orders take 15-20-30 secs on quiet market conditions, most of the time requote after that time...
Their support told me that everything was fine, that there was no delays on execution, but now I know it doesnt happen to me only...
It's a shame, they are a very serious company. I hope they fix it soon because I'm not trading till then...

I have to add that I made some profits with them, and I just read a review from alpari-us saying the same thing, it's at least suspicious...
It started like a month ago, when the trading open on sunday and sorprise after a great trading week for me...
Such a huge delays you cant even think to trade, and I'm not talking about scalping... you just cant trade

Disgusting!, trading for 3 months now and many many times took 10-12 secs to place a trade, then went in higher/lower, on trying to close an order it was constant re quotes until I was in a minus situ. Took money out of my account and left me owing them! Disconnected, came back on to a massive minus, said there was gaps, told them there wasn't and they then filled in gaps and reduced the loss???, went past my S/L on a trade and closed much lower. I suspect they have plugin to trace S/L's. Spoke with customer services and was asked "well what do you want us to do" regards two problems, I ended up getting one partially sorted out. You won't earn profits with these without them making sure they get it back in next trade.

Recently their live execution is very slow. I have to wait 20 second on each operation in normal market conditions. It is in any time of day. It is terrible to trade in such conditions. Yes withdrawal is fast.

After 3 months of trading on a real Alpari account I have encountered neither troubles or particular problems. Their server seems to work normally at any hour without enormous delays or strange requotes.
That' all that I can say for now: for me they are ok. I hope this will hold for the future too.
I have heard around about strange quotations coming from Alpari, maybe thi is true, I don't know, but I have not noticed them at all.

I know, support is not rapid like a rocket... but if you post a question in the morning you will receive a reply in the afternoon for sure.

What can I say more? I give them 4 stars.

i have know alpari 4 over 9 month they are really trying i wish they reduce their spread is like nigerian are really complainning. but their service is quite o k 4 me by now

Customer service terrible.Took over 35 days to receive withdrawal and the could not care less.Reported to the financial ombudsman. Terrible firm who do not even use names to avoid responsibility

I traded with demo accounts with them for 6 months and was happy so decided to get a live account. So far so good. All stop losses

I agree with some of the comments. The platform is slow. otherwise alpari is the best in the market. I used to run the platform non stop from opening on monday morning thru saturday morning. Everyday there must be not less than 5 times platform freeze even not during news. Worse still if there is news. It is quite long nearly one hour sometimes. I only trade medium and long term with alpari. So i don't day trade with them as i have suffered huge losses earlier. For day trade i use other broker which experience less problems. In terms of security of funds, alpari is good..

Excellent service - server speed seems fine and customer service has always been good for me by phone. I add funds to my account by bank transfer on a Sunday evening and my account is always credited on Monday morning which is ridiculously fast! (My bank is Natwest - maybe that makes a difference?)

Withdrawals are also dealt with quickly the same day by sending a fax copy of the form.

Spreads seem pretty standard for Forex, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to open an account in the UK (provided you want to use Metatrader as your trading platform).

So far so good. Great customer support and trades got filled very fast. No problem with withdrawal either.

This is the worst broker I have ever sign up with. The customer service is non-existent. They provided me the wrong account type (I wanted Standard but they provided mini). I asked for Alpari to make the change but it has been more than 2 weeks with 3 emails sent to follow up on this issue but there is totally no reply from both support@alpari.co.uk and backoffice@alpari.co.uk

I heard so much about UK brokers providing bad customer service. And now I've finally experienced it myself.
