This broker seems to be OK but that damn 3-5 seconds new order delay can be frustrating!!! (I know its to discourage scalpers but....) - Also they seem to Requote 40% of the time!! (Of course if you delay my orders by 3-5 secs the price is gonna change!!) NOTE: Reset time after requotes can take 3-5 MINUTES!!! before the platform allows another order.
They seem honest though and I dont see any platform freezing or stop hunting so I'll stick with them until I find a better broker. But when you compare their feed to MT4 ECN brokers (like actbrokers.com) you'll get pissed at how much they slow the platform down. I like the fixed spreads. They actually dont widen them to much or for too long. Some will like the slightly smoothed feed (I do) - scalpers and Martingale traders will want to look elsewhere. Also Alpari-UK has stop levels that = the spread. The US site has stop levels that are DOUBLE the spread!! I asked why - they never emailed me back. In Summary: An honest broker that has their platform slowed with molasses and Matrix like Bullet time!! It can be frustrating because of the frequent requotes, slowed order entry, ridiculous "Off Quotes" reset time and higher stop levels than the UK version BUT I'll prob stick around until the new wave on MT4 ECN brokers get up to speed. They guys don't seem to trade against you but they've got their scalper guard set waaaaay too high!!! If they would speed up the platform a bit and lower that requote ratio they really would be perfect. I hope they get the memo and tweak the broker plug-in settings. (We all know MT4 is a platform that lets the broker completely control our trade success "slow the platform, slip the order, reject orders that start in profit, etc..") - I really wanna give em 3.5 stars - They're better than the average bucketshop but the plug-in settings make them less than good. - I'll continue to trade with them and report back in a few months. ![]() Author: Sterling Suhr

I had a very similar experience to "LV" that already left a review. When I origionally started with this broker they were great. Wire transfers were fast, execution was super fast, and you could trade as many lots as you like. Then I had one 23K week and it all went down from there. I opened my account as usual for some Sunday night trading and it took a minimum of 10 seconds for all orders to go threw. I even went down to 1 mini and still 10 second delays on all entries and exits.
I made most of that money that week by scalping and some may say well thats the problem brokers dont "allow" or like scalpers. Well thats fine if they say that. Go to there website and check out the "FAQ" section and see what they have to say about scalpers and news traders. In the FAQ's they welcome them and say they have no restrictions on any type of trading. That being said if you dont make money or lose money you will love this broker! There great as long as your not profitable. Another thing is when I called to complain about what they had done to my account. "David" who I usually speak to said they didnt do that, and he went further to say they cant delay an account...I laughed at him when he said that. I that very day opened up two of my trading buddies accounts on my computer and low and behold there execution was still great. I even called a few other people I know that have trading accounts with them and they said there execution was great. So like I said if you dont make money or you lose money then by all means go with Alpari-us, but if you make money then you WILL have the same problem I had. One more thing. When I first started trading with them you could trade 3 lots and have instant execution. Open an account with them and try to trade more than 1 lot without a 10 second delay. I know 5 people with accounts with them and there all telling me the same thing. Im gonna give them one more call to make some things right, if not thats cool they can watch there profits slip away...its up to them. Ill keep you all posted. As for now stay as far away as possable from this joke of a "broker"!!!! ![]() Author: Naik S

Well I have been with them since last 6 months, I haven't had any issues with them. I cashed out my profits twice and they appear to send the checks quickly. Yeah, sometimes they do have larger spreads and delays but not that they are worst. I have other accounts with OANDA to compare with.
Their Customer support is okay, the only thing to look for is they are open on Sunday at 6:30 PM which is hours after the markets open. There was one major incident last 6 months when I could not login to their system at all, their servers were out. It took them good half a day to get back to recovery and the only way to know that was to contact them over the phone. Eventually I ended up in changing IP addresses in their metatrader platform So far so good. ![]() Author: Todd

This is not really a review but a FYI. A lot of EAs I've found have been tested on Alpari UK and some even recommend Alpari in the ads. Alpari US does not use the same spreads in some cases and the number of digits quoted in the prices is higher in Alpari UK. I've been told this can potentially mess up EA that has been tested on the other. Just something to check on.

Opening account went very well. Customer service was prompt. On my third trade I had a stop loss set at -100, there was a spike down and my position was closed at -129. Later that same day I received an email from Alpari US that said there had been an error spike and that they had removed the trade from my account. I was especially pleased as the trade eventually would have been a loser anyway. I appreciated their handling of the matter. So far I have been pleased with trading conditions.

Alpari is just like all the rest of the Market Makers out there. Set-up and account with them (Open a Demo, as I am going to tell you WHY NOT to put your hard earned $ here.) Everything is great.. until you start taking the house!
Just like Velocity (Hamilton Williams) it was an eerily similar situation. Want to manually close out your position to bank $? Forget it. "Common Error" or "No Connection" Errors. I tried to close out an $880 GBP/USD on a Sunday night- and apparently, they had other ideas in mind. But yet the server worked just fine when I that $880 had evaporated and then bounced to $200. Connection status was live the whole time. I mean come on- it was a Sunday night- not in the 5 minutes post a Non-Farm Payroll news release. On that same note- you also start to get "No Connection" at not even peak times. Fills have always been good- but now they have even started not letting you buy when you want. I tried over 30 times to Short a GBP/CHF about a week ago. Never took my order-but yet the same order server allowed me to cancel my order in lightning fast execution. Alpari doesn't have the liquidity to stand up to anyone who knows how to make money off the market- try it and see! Garnish a 3 straight month winning streak and see your platform suddenly "start acting up." They are no better than the rest of the Bucket Shop Market Makers out there. FIND AN ECN and save yourself the pain and heartache! ![]() Author: John

I have a demo and live mini acct. with them, prices match always. Indicators are a little off from each other but very close. Always up and running, no server lock ups during news and the spread stay the same.Low spreads with 100 to 1 margin.I must say that there market order entry and exits are a little slow, not good for news trading which i avoid so i does not effect me at all. Limit and stop limit orders can be placed 3 pips away from market price.Easy to get on broad and custmer servise is great.Been with them from start up in US. All in all very happy with them for the style of trading i am doing.

I traded with them a Demo Account, something I did not like; that their trading day start at 6 PM eastern NY's time. Because of that I was not able to apply my trading system (when it comes to the daily's and 4 Hrs candles-opening and closing) and when placing a limit order the price has to be 5 pips differ from the market price spread. (what is for?) Upon that I decided not to open a real account. Seems, that they don't want the traders to make money. I not in place to give them any stars.
