I got my withdrawal of $1062 recently. It takes 5 days for them to send it, but what is most importnant - you get it!
For the first withdrawal, eToro is asking to send them the copy of the documents for varification.
From my experience eToro is a legitimate Forex Broker.

the platform is very unique and I am enjoying trading on it. In the very beginning there were some issues with the platform, but than the support told me to open the ports for Proxy and after that everything works perfect.
I like to discuss the market situation with my account manager. It helps me to make a decision what to trade.
The withdrawal is ok, it just takes few days and that's all.

After discussing the issue with my account manager at eToro, I came to the conclusion that it was all a misunderstanding. eToro's support checked what I sent them and showed me that a part of it was due to technical problems on their side and a part was because of my side.

eToro took responisibility for the technical problems on their side and compensated me for the amount that was lost because of the technical issues.

I thank my account manager for his help on this one and I have to say my impression of eToro improved because of this story. I saw that their support department is helpful and together we solved the issue, however, not as quick as I expected.

I would say after all this, eToro was willing to help, for which I will continue trading with them.

Etoro is simply not worth it. Depositing money in etoro is easy, but withdrawing is rather tough.

The most difficult aspect is trading, since their platform gets stuck way too often and their charts show different data to what the market displays. If you are ready to lose money, etoro is the best, but if you would like to preserve and earn from forex trading, you better get a more competitive broker.

Opening and closing trade positions is simply a pain, and most of the time you lose money. Plus their spread system is so designed that they actually get more spread than we can calculate.

My verdict, stay away from Etoro as far as possible.

I trade with eToro for few months already and is very glad with their services. My personal account manager helps me to develop my own trading technique and give the full support.

Recently I started to earn money with eToro and cash them out.

I don't know why eddie says what he says,
I deposited $750, and cashed out $100 to my paypal just a few days ago.

eToro does have its share of downsides, but they are not thievs.

Hello , IT has been around 3 days i have faxed my documents to etoro in regards to my first withdrawal of amount $1000 , i have been constantly writing mails to them to release my money but yet i have not received any reply from them , i have a bypass heart surgery operation to be done for my daddy , i am in badly need to money ,that is why i am withdrawing my own money .Can anyone pls help me to withdraw my money from Etoro ?

It's nearly impossible to get a real money account setup if you live in USA. I've been trying for 3 days now with no success. The support staff is not helpful.

The platform is so great I have continued to put myself at their mercy. I am waiting on an email response. If it fails to get me set up, I will move on.

I posted a few months ago and would like to update my thoughts in response to some of the more recent comments.

I am now dealing with about 5 FX platforms including eToro and they have been nothing but decent to me. I still give them 4 stars out of 5 as the charts are not functional enough for expert traders but in every other respect they are a quality outfit. I totally trust them. I recommend traders try them with just a few dollars before judging them.

2008-09-10 4 Stars Though I like the eToro platform and I give it 4 stars as it is an acquired taste. Firstly, it is great if you are new to FX trading. But if you are a seasoned expert you will need better charts. I use ABN Amro charts and trade on eToro simultaneously. Regarding service you cannot criticise eToro for delaying payouts if you have not supplied ID. Simple as that. I supplied my ID and my last payout for example hit my Paypal within 24 hours of the cashout instruction. I almost fell off my chair in surprise it was so quick. The key to eToro is not to try and scalp profits in and out of the market. You need to trade low leverage, sensible stop losses and well thought out price targets. Sometimes I lose money, sometimes I gain money but to be fair when the eToro system went down they gave me compensation. I totally empathise that as traders we look to blame someone when we lose money as it is easier for our egos than admitting we took the wrong position. It's worth a few pounds and great fun, just don't trade more than you can afford to lose and when inevitably you make mistakes and lose money, don't go on tilt and try to double up on high leverage as sooner or later you will wipe out. When you lose on a position, go away for 30 minutes, relax clear your mind, then come back read Bloomberg check the charts and gently dip your toe back in again. Doing FX is a little like poker, use your brain not emotions and do not ever go on 'tilt'. It's the steady, cautious deep thinkers that make money over the long run.

I have been watching etoro, as I was considering opening an account there. Sure, they make a few $ off the pips like any other forex broker. But they are also snarfing users on trade price. I have been comparing the quotes from etoro with live quotes, and etoro is quoting low. For instance, I am trading GBP/JPY. The current price is 161.78. etoro is quoting 161.72, so if I cashed out my position right now I would lose more money than just the pips they charge. As the price rises on the market, etoro is slow to update their quote... but when it drops, they drop just as fast, and carve themselves a couple pips extra for safety. Their software consistently runs -.05, so at any given time you are down that much from the market price. And that's in addition to their spread. These guys are making way more money off traders than the traders realize, or agree to.
